Matthew Barrett, a blacklisted American citizen, who at the start of this month was apprehended after entering Pakistan despite being “blacklisted” and deported previously, was once again sent out of the country on Saturday. He was then transported to Lahore from Islamabad by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

He was brought to Lahore from Islamabad last night from where he was deported back to NY on PIA flight PK711, officials said.

The judicial decision to deport Barrett came from the Rawalpindi court.

It was not immediately clear why he was not deported from Islamabad but shifted to Lahore for the goal.

Rana Muhammad Akram, FIA inspector, could not be approached for his comments over the deportation of USA national.

Earlier this month, FIA along with Islamabad Police conducted a raid at a guest house and detained Barrett who had been expelled from Pakistan in 2011 on suspicion of spying.

FIA Officials informed the court that Matthew Barrett’s visa was cancelled and that he will not be allowed to reenter Pakistan.
