Miranda, 31, and Blake, 39, married in 2011 but have not been seen together publicly since April.

“We try so hard to keep people’s focus on what we do and not on our marriage”, he said.

Shelton is also a judge on the U.S. singing reality television show “The Voice”. Now with this sad news going public, fans are left to wonder what is next for Lambert and Shelton and how they will coupe with their new lives.

Last January, Lambert spoke about her marriage, telling Us Weekly, “I’m not sunshine and roses”. And they weren’t getting wishy-washy about their split, either: Their divorce was finalized within hours of their initial divorce announcement, thanks to publicists who are good at keeping secrets and what seems like an iron-clad prenup.

The couple met in 2005 when they sang “You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma” together at the CMT 100 Greatest Duets concert.

And now, a source explains just what really went down in the famous couple’s highly publicized relationship, and what lead to their decision to part ways.

“I didn’t know what to do with it”, she said.

But tabloids hounded the couple, in particularly focusing on their lives and Lambert’s weight.

Lambert and Shelton have both enjoyed strong crossover appeal, with their latest albums each debuting at the top of the mainstream Billboard album chart previous year.

The House That Built Me singer Miranda even donned her mums wedding dress for her big day adding a pair of sparkly cowboy boots. “Blake’s the happiest person on the planet…He pulls me out of my darkness…literally, everything is the best about being married”.

“We’re a really normal couple”, Lambert told The Associated Press in 2010. A rep for Lambert did not return FOX411’s request for comment.
