Blatter, Platini suspended from soccer by FIFA’s ethics body
He said in a statement: ” This deliberate leak – which is insidious in nature and has come about in an unacceptable manner – is essentially an attempt to damage my reputation”.

UEFA will host an emergency meeting in Nyon, Switzerland, on October 15 to discuss the situation.
The English Football Association (FA) also maintained its support for Platini to become the next FIFA president, with chairman Greg Dyke saying they would only withdraw it if he was found guilty of corruption.
The Cameroonian, 69, is FIFA’s most senior vice-president and has been in the role since 1992. “Nobody should be granted protection”.
“The duration of the bans may be extended for an additional period not exceeding 45 days”. His lawyers released a statement on his behalf.
“I want everyone to know my state of mind. I am more determined than ever to defend myself before the relevant judicial bodies”. That could rule out Platini, 60, although it would be up to the electoral committee to decide whether he can stand. Michel Platini might never even get there.
Earlier on Thursday, Platini said he would fight any decision against him.
But he has come under intense pressure since being named in a Swiss criminal investigation into Blatter, who is accused of making the contested payment to Platini.
Under UEFA’s rules, if their president is not available to conduct his duties, the highest ranked vice president of the organization takes over but the European body declined to take that step.
Members of FIFA’s ethics committee met this week after the Swiss Attorney General opened criminal proceedings against Blatter last month.
Officers initially applies to 90 days.
No tweet has appeared on Blatter’s account since Friday.
Chung lambasts the Ethics Committee following his lengthy ban and fine of 100,000 Swiss Francs, branding them Blatter’s “hitman”. The judgment makes it impossible for Dr Chung to stand for election, and will likely mean the same for Platini. He was reprimanded by the worldwide Olympic Committee in 2011 over a payment made to him by FIFA’s former marketing agency ISL during the 1990s.
Blatter was handed a 90-day ban on Thursday, as was UEFA President Michel Platini.
June 2 Blatter says he will organise election to choose a new president.
“They must do two things immediately”, Bach said of Federation Internationale de Football Association.
Platini, meanwhile, has been widely heralded as a potential future successor to Blatter, but he too has been suspended after becoming implicated in the corruption allegations.
In Blatter’s absence, Issa Hayatou will serve as acting president.
“It will follow the internal investigation wherever it leads, ” he added.
As the storm grew, Blatter announced that he would stand down, but only when the election is held.

“We see Thomas Bach coming out today talking about an independent President, this is all about protecting this independence, this notion of autonomy in sport which has got to be dead now”, Eaton said. Hayatou has not developed African football the way he should in the last 27 years that he has been on the saddle.
