Blizzard Announces Live Streaming

Blizzard and Facebook first announced their game streaming partnership in June, but Blizzard Streaming only went live late this week. Once users connect their Blizzard account to their Facebook profile, they’ll be able to stream live gameplay directly to the world’s largest social media network instantly.

Blizzard Streaming is live now in the Americas, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Other regions will follow “soon”. That’s because Blizzard officially launched a brand new streaming feature in tandem with Facebook that lets users stream any of Blizzard’s titles directly to their Wall. Fans who will update the Blizzard Client will automatically notice the “Blizzard Streaming” feature on their account. The official announcement says that Blizzard Streaming will be rolling out worldwide, as well as coming to Mac, in the near future.

According to the Polygon, Blizzard and Facebook’s initiative to bring the streaming of videos online has allowed more players to enjoy and get challenged by the game.

The feature is quite simple, and pretty neat as long as Facebook is an application that you don’t mind using. You can customize the stream so that everyone who checks out your Facebook page can see it, or only your friends, and you can also activate or deactivate your webcam and microphone as well.

You can now stream any Blizzard game live on Facebook
