And although the first screening isn’t until 12.01am, it’s expected that Star Wars tragics will begin lining up for the best seats on Wednesday afternoon. Sources say Force Awakens sales could even be north of $120 million. Whatever it is that George Lucas did, it made magic.
I think the only thing that was a little bit odd was because Disney had blocked off all of Hollywood Blvd. and cleaned the retail shops, anybody who was going to shop or just walk on the street had to go through security.
The plot of the movie has been a closely-guarded secret but so far reviews suggest it will be a huge hit.
“I loved it”, actor-director Zach Braff told AP immediately after the premiere. “I was so busy, I was working with adrenaline so I went in and out”.
“Never in our memory has a film company tried to interfere in the content of articles or in the private conversations of journalists with their friends and family while threatening to pursue them in the courts”, the newspaper said in a statement.
The Daily Mail’s Brian Viner described The Force Awakens as “a triumph of escapism and the most exhilarating film yet in this mighty franchise”.
“Carrie Fisher and I were talking about it several times, like, “This is insane!”
She said: “This is the first Star Wars with a 12A rating and most children should find it unterrifying; adults will be floored by tearful nostalgia, because this is a classic”.

One has to remember that the pre-sale numbers actually apply to the full week and not just one day. There are big scenes that happen with this character and it’s a lot of fun to watch them unfold in front of a crowd who has been, clearly, waiting for a female protagonist of this caliber for a long, long time.
