Bloomberg Rips Into Trump as ‘Con’ Man and ‘Hypocrite’ in DNC Speech

Former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg delivered what the Wall Street Journal called “a stinging rebuke” to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia last night.

With little political experience, Donald Trump has stated that his skills as a business man is what will take the country forward.

One of his advisers said to expect the former NY mayor to particularly focus his remarks on independents, telling CNN, “He will call on independent voters to stand up, be counted and support Hillary Clinton”.

As a party outsider, Bloomberg had the ability to reach beyond the Democratic base, observers noted.

Bloomberg, now an independent, said that he is not endorsing the Democratic Party platform, going so far as to say that Democrats too often blame the private sector for economic troubles, and are obstructionists on issues of education reform and deficit reduction.

He told fellow independents that their votes mattered and he urged the nation to “elect a sane, competent person with worldwide experience, a unifier”.

“Today, as an Independent, an entrepreneur, and a former mayor, I believe we need a president who is a problem-solver, not a bomb-thrower; someone who can bring members of Congress together, to get big things done”.

It’s NY billionaire vs.

“There are times when I disagree with Hillary”, said Bloomberg, who seriously considered entering the presidential race earlier this year.

Bloomberg previously had a cordial relationship with Trump, who he knew from New York’s glitzy social circuit and from dealings with him as a developer. “God help us”, he said, pointing out the Republican candidate’s bankruptcies.

Michael Bloomberg urged Independents to vote for Hillary Clinton, saying Donald Trump was a “risky, reckless and radical choice”.

The DNC featured no shortage of harsh attacks on Trump, CBS2 reported. “Hillary has some baggage, but Trump is insane”, said Sheekey, who was involved in Bloomberg’s decision.

Thus, as an independent patriot without any political affiliation, Bloomberg today attended the DNC to endorse Clinton, the first female president to run for the USA presidency.

“I know that Hillary Clinton is not flawless-no candidate is”. Bloomberg made his fortune in finance and technology, while Trump’s money comes from real estate, casinos and reality television. “But she is the right choice, and the responsible choice, in this election”, Bloomberg said.
