As summer approaches, customers make more visits; however, they are even now interested in Blue Bell and ask for updates. By then it was known that 10 people in four states (Arizona, Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas) had contracted listeria, and three of them had died. The agreement details actions the company will take to ensure its products are safe, such as facility cleaning and sanitizing, revised testing protocols and production policies, procedures to prevent future contamination and new training initiatives.

Blue Bell entered into a voluntary agreement with regulators on steps and changes to bring its ice cream back on the market.

Indications are being seen that Blue Bell ice cream, off the shelves since April after Listeria bacteria was found at several of its plants, may be on the verge of coming back, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports. The mom and pop shop is known for homemade cookies and for the Blue Bell ice cream it used to sandwich in between.

Blue Bell did not provide a specific date on when the test production will start or when the company will resume its sale of ice cream. This time there was no comment from Kruse on the matter.
