The addition of veteran pitcher Francisco Liriano assures that all-star Aaron Sanchez will be heading to the Blue Jays bullpen.
Correa who now has helped the Astros to win five times this season via walk-off’s credited knowing Feldman so well, as a factor helping him get the game-winning hit. He is 1-0 this season with the Blue Jays and has spent most of the year in Triple-A. Although he is not listed as one of the team’s top prospects, he does boast a 1.69 ERA in 6 starts at rookie ball.
Chavez has a 4.57 ERA in 39 games in relief this season, with 42 strikeouts and just 10 walks in 41⅓ innings.
Marcus Stroman kept the Blue Jays close with seven innings of one-run baseball and struck out 13 Astros. Atkins believes that Liriano’s experience outweighs this season’s numbers.
Bolsinger has made a handful of starts with the Dodgers in 2015 and 2016.
On the bright side, his velocity is up and Los Angeles could use him as a starting pitcher like he was with the Athletics past year or as a reliever out of the bullpen.
Pittsburgh enters the final two months of the season with just one starter remaining from the opening day rotation: Gerrit Cole. In 13 games (two starts) with Oklahoma (PCL) Bolsinger is 2-1 with a 3.41 ERA over 29 innings. Since his move to the bullpen at the end of April, the Kailua, HI, native has recorded a 2.41 ERA over 37.1 innings.
He was coming off one of his worst starts of the season, giving up six runs and nine hits in 4 2/3 innings on July 26 against the New York Yankees.
For Altuve, who leads the majors in batting average and on-base percentage and is arguably the leading threat to unseat Donaldson as American League MVP, it was his 19th homer of the season to go along with his AL-leading 25 stolen bases.
Chavez was owed $4 million this year and becomes a free agent after the season.

Jose Altuve started things off in the 14th with single on the third pitch he saw, and Correa then followed on the very next pitch with a double to drive him in and secure the win. He is 69-76 with 4.35 ERA in 11-plus big-league campaigns.
