Blue skies fade away: MI targeted for rain, ice, snow
The chance of snow showers is in the forecast for Wednesday night, with an overnight low of 36 degrees.

In Batavia, snow showers with temperatures in the mid-30s will open the weekend early Friday along with a breeze near 20 miles per hour and gusts as high as 30 miles per hour.
FRIDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy skies and breezy. Clouds will increase on Sunday and give way to showers and thunderstorms late Sunday afternoon and evening, which will continue into Monday.
Overnight snow showers will wind down by midnight with some minor accumulation possible. If the timing of this period of subfreezing temperatures matches up with a heavier band of precipitation, we could see some snow accumulation by early Sunday morning.
Saturday night’s chance of snow will slightly increase to 40-percent. (The forecast high is 31° and that is also the record lowest high temperature for that day.) We’ll drop to about 21° Saturday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Chance of showers. Highs 64 to 69. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Snow before 1 p.m, then rain and snow.
Rainfall amounts expected over the weekend range from half to an inch near the coast to one to two inches in the mountains, according to the weather service.
Sunday: Clearing, sunny skies and temps into the mid 40s.
