Blunt joins criticism of Trump comments about Army captain

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump broke a major American political and societal taboo over the weekend when he engaged in an emotionally-charged feud with Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the bereaved parents of a decorated Muslim Army captain killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq.

The announcement of the new Pokemon comes as Trump faces backlash over disparaging remarks he made to the parents of Captain Humayun Khan after their speech at the Democratic National Convention.

In the very personal statement, McCain also paid homage to the Khan’s son Humayun’s sacrifice.

Discussing her appearance at the DNC, Ghazala Khan explained, “I have done very well saying my mind out, but that time was different”. She had nothing to say.

She continued: “For all these years, I haven’t been able to clean the closet where his things are – I had to ask my daughter-in-law to do it. Walking onto the convention stage, with a huge picture of my son behind me, I could hardly control myself”.

On Sunday Trump told ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos that he made a lot of sacrifices for the country, including employing thousands of people. “Donald Trump has managed to say pretty much anything in this campaign, seemingly without consequences. Whoever saw me felt me in their heart”, Ghazala Khan wrote.

Donald Trump speaks at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio on July 21, 2016. “He is a black soul, and this is totally unfit leadership of this lovely country”, Khan said.

Trump’s dispute with the Khans has dominated the election campaign in recent days after Khizr Khan spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, with his wife standing at his side.

“One doesn’t know where the bottom is”.

He added, “In the end, I am morally bound to speak only to the things that command my allegiance, and to which I have dedicated my life’s work: the Republican Party, and more importantly, the United States of America”.

In statements released Sunday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan condemned any criticism of Muslim Americans who serve their country and rejected the idea of a Muslim travel ban – an idea proposed by Trump earlier in the campaign.

“There’s only one way to talk about Gold Star parents: with honour and respect”. Capt. Khan is a hero.

Facing growing outrage over his comments, Mr Trump said yesterday that he was forced to respond after Mr Khan “viciously attacked” him. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. All Americans should value the patriotic service of the patriots who volunteer to selflessly defend us in the armed services. And we will keep getting stronger when Hillary Clinton becomes our next president.

“Arizona is watching. It is time for Donald Trump to set the example for our country and the future of the Republican Party”.

“We feel we must speak out and demand you apologize to the Khans, to all Gold Star families, and to all Americans for your offensive, and frankly anti-American, comments”, they said in an open letter. On Monday morning, Arizona Sen. It reads, in part, “I can not emphasize enough how deeply I disagree with Mr. Trump’s statement”.

On the other hand, Republican Vice Presidential hopeful, Mike Pence also contradicted Trump’s stance: “I believe that Captain Humayun Khan is an American hero and he should be cherished by every American”.
