Details about the updated BMW 4-Series range in the United Kingdom have been revealed along with its pricing. And no, it’s not even a four-door “coupe” like the 6-Series Gran Coupe that’s still in production, not close. Starting in July 2017, standard equipment for the BMW 3 Series Sedan and the BMW 3 Series Touring will also include LED headlights and LED fog lamps. Around back, the 2018 BMW 2 Series features new LED taillights. Apart from powerful LED headlights across the range (and LEDs at the rear too) there’s a bigger radiator grille and glossy black bar at the front and new look lights behind.
For starters, there’s a new instrument display with a black panel design, along with redesigned air vents, chrome buttons for the power windows and high-gloss black surface for the centre stack.
Inside, there’s a less cluttered look to the dash as well as more trim options to choose from.
Elsewhere, the tail light design has been revised, but you’ll have to be pretty eagle-eyed to tell it apart from the outgoing model.

The 225d and M240i xDrive variants of both the Coupe and Convertible link up as standard with the eight-speed Steptronic Sport version of the automatic, which offers a steering wheel-mounted manual shift function. Next in line, in all probability, will be the 530i, which will house a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 252PS/350Nm.
