BMW boss doing well again after auto show collapse

BMW chief executive Harald Krueger fainted Tuesday during a press briefing at the IAA auto show in Frankfurt, forcing the German carmaker to halt the presentation, an AFP photographer reported.

Krueger reportedly was feeling subpar earlier than the presentation, however determined to push ahead.

BMW, the world’s biggest maker of luxury cars, is presenting a revamped version of its top-of-the-line 7-Series sedan at the Frankfurt show. He took the helm at the Munich-based auto maker in May.

Krueger had undertaken a lot of travel immediately before this and had said he had been feeling slightly unwell before going on stage but insisted on going on with the press conference. The incident happened after the CEO returned from recent trips overseas, he said. “Mr Krueger’s health is stable and he is recovering well”.

On Tuesday, September 15th, BMW held a press conference at the Frankfurt Auto show to discuss BMW’s latest and greatest.
