BMW M6 GT3 Unveiled at the IAA 2015 in Frankfurt
The BMW M6 GT3 weighs less than 1,300 kilograms, and the transaxle drive concept, sequential six-speed racing gearbox and body aerodynamics optimized in the BMW wind tunnel also highlight the imminent arrival of a full-blooded racer from BMW Motorsport in 2016.

A choice of Austin Yellow or Alpine White exterior finishes are available, with the Alpine white option teamed with a stripe package in the M division’s trademark colours. This new special edition is exclusively for the M6 Coupe optioned with the Competition package.
Under the skin, key suspension components such as the springs, dampers and anti-roll bars all get a firmer tuning.
Unveiled today in a press release and yesterday at the 2015 global Auto Show (IAA) is the new BMW M6 Coupe Competition Edition.
The Competition Edition shares its engine and bodywork stripes in the BMW M colors with the new M6 GT3. The front bumper now has an entirely different look with an add-on spoiler and a new configuration for intakes while the fenders have been widened, and the boot received a huge carbon fiber wing. The interior trim strips, gear selector and M sports steering wheel spokes are made from fine, lightweight carbon fiber, while the steering wheel rim is lined with elegant Alcantara leather.
Designed for use by privateer teams in the 2016 GT racing leage, the M6 GT3 is the most focussed S series variant to date.
Elsewhere, the vehicle features M multifunction seats for the driver and front passenger, and a head-up display.

Select BMW dealers have already begun taking orders on the limited-edition model, with only 100 units scheduled to make their way to the U.S. The coupon provides each owner with a special opportunity to visit the BMW Performance Center Driving School of their liking for an exclusive half-day instructor led driving experience.
