Boa constrictor pulled from beneath SUV in Pennsylvania

That’s because the men saw an 8-foot-long boa constrictor wriggle under the SUV outside a Pennsylvania medical facility.

The snake crawled underneath a Mercury Mountaineer owned by Katie Hauer of Sugar Notch when Hauer was inside the medical building. It will be resettled with other snakes at Mr English’s business.

The elaborate rescue effort was caught on camera by our fearless Photojournalist Lonnie Miller.

“It was jammed between the heat shield and the floor pan”, Cameron English said. The herpetologist told Eyewitness News the boa constrictor is likely someone’s lost pet, but he was still looking for the owner. He was in the parking lot when Hauer found the boa. “This was one of the worst possible spots it could be on a vehicle”, he said.

“I’m going to be checking under my vehicle and around my auto every single day now”, Hauer said.

English said the serpent was well fed and either escaped from its owner or was set loose.

A snake expert and a tow truck driver were called in to help save the day.
