Bobby Brown blames his daughter Bobbi Kristina’s death on himself and on her former boyfriend Nick Gordon.

Whitney died in 2012 aged 48 after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel while Bobbi Kristina, 22, passed away in July 2015, almost six months after she was found unresponsive in a bath at her home in Georgia.

In ‘Every Little Step, ‘ Brown describes in detail his tumultuous years with Houston and the estrangement from their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, after their divorce.

And he said it was her mother, Cissy Houston, who was not OK with the relationship.

It seems unlikely that Bobbi Kristina was not affected by her parents non-stop drug use.

Bobby believes their marriage began to crumble when they both got hooked on drugs and battled to get sober. That’s just one of many revelations in tonight’s special edition of 20/20, in which ABC’s Robin Roberts sits down for an exclusive interview with the singer who Whitney herself referred to as “The King of R&B”.

Of involving Bobbi Kristina, Brown admitted, “We could have been better”.

As for Gordon’s supposed role in the deaths of his ex-wife and their only child together, Brown said he wasn’t sure exactly happened in either case.

“I really feel that if Robyn was accepted into Whitney’s life, Whitney would still be alive today”, Brown told Us Weekly. There was only one person who was around on both occasions…

Gordon’s attorney, Jose Baez has hit back against Brown’s insinuating comments: “We have repeatedly said that Nick Gordon is innocent of any wrongdoing”.

“I won’t say his name”, Brown confirms.

Over the years, Bobby Brown has been accused of introducing Houston to drugs. “It only made me love and want to protect her more”.

Brown admits he did indeed strike Houston one time while he was “trying to maintain sobriety”, but ultimately says he’s “never been a violent man toward a woman ever”.

But Brown said that his daughter had reached out to him in 2014 and the pair had an emotional reunion on Father’s Day that year.

“Whether I would have chosen Bobby for my daughter’s husband is not important because the choice was not mine to make”, she continued.
