A body of a man was found in the Florida home of singer Olivia Newton-John last week. The man apparently was a contractor who was finishing a few renovations on the house. Sgt. Scott Pascarella stated that the man was in no way related to the singer or her husband and that the cause of death was suicide. As for now the police are still investigating what happened and why the man killed himself on the property.

The discovery of the 42-year-old man was shortly after 12:00 p.m. Jupiter, Florida police officers reported on scene and told reporters that the man’s name is not to be released until an autopsy can be performed. He did tell reporters that the man died of a gun shot wound. Olivia Newton-John and husband, John Easterling, were not at home at the time of the suicide. The situation is always something that is hard to swallow. A representative for the couple stated:
“Olivia and her husband John are in shock over the tragic event that occurred at their Florida home yesterday. At this time we are awaiting additional information from investigators but, can confirm that the couple was not in Florida at the time.”
It seems that tragedy can’t stop plaguing the singer. In May, her sister, Rona Newton-John, died from a brain tumor. Olivia herself 
even battled Cancer. The discovery comes as a shock to everyone who knew the contractors and the couple is deeply saddened for the man’s family’s loss.
The “Grease” star and her businessman husband wait to find out more details of what happened exactly and how they can help. Detectives are working hard to find out the reason as to why the man shot himself and why he chose to do it while at the couple’s home. However, as is protocol, despite the scenario pointing at suicide, the detectives are treating this as a homicide and are determined to make sure that everything is going to go well. Hopefully everything goes well for the actress/singer and that there is a quick discovery of what happened with the man who shot himself without even leaving a note.
