His burned pickup truck was located near Conroe, about 45 miles south of where the body was found.

The search for a 14-year-old Houston-area girl who had disappeared after her father was found fatally shot in a rural area north of the city ended Friday after police announced a body found earlier this week is that of the missing teenager.

Wednesday evening, a candlelight vigil was held outside her apartment in west Harris County.

In a tragic update to the Amber Alert that CDA News wrote an article about on March 14, the body of Texas teen, Adriana Coronado was found and was positively identified through her fingerprints. It was during the investigation of her father that authorities realized that Adriana Coronado was missing. An Amber Alert had police and citizens searching for the teen girl. The truck had also been burned. The video showed an unidentified heavyset man leaving the father’s truck in Conroe Sunday night. Her mother is recovering from surgery in Mexico, the Montgomery County Police Reporter notes.

Officials are asking for help from the public in identifying the man seen running from the truck.

The owner of a nearby home and a gardener found the body, the Houston Chronicle reported.

After a man was found dead on March 13, investigators in Texas are determined to find his missing teenage daughter.

McRae said that while the unidentified man’s face is not clear on the video, he is hoping someone might be able to identify him by looking at his build, the way he was dressed or how he walks and runs. Her father was found murdered in Walker County.

The Walker County’s Sheriff’s Office on Thursday released surveillance video of a person of interest in the case. Investigators are now using forensic technology to determine whether or not the same gun was used on both victims.
