Body of 25-year-old missing hiker found in central Idaho
The Custer County Sheriff’s Office is reporting they have located the body of missing hiker – 25 year old Luke Richardson.

The body of Lucas Richardson, a missing hiker from Hailey, has been found, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office confirmed today.
He was last seen at the Summit Creek Trail on September 12.
His body was removed from the mountains on October 15th with help from the Custer County’s Sheriff’s Office, Custer County Search and Rescue, 2 Bear Air from Kalispell, Montana and Sawtooth Mountain Guides.
He was working in Blaine County.
According to a news release, Richardson was found the near a technical section of rock on the ridge of Devil’s Bedstead-the fifth highest peak in the Pioneers.
The Richardson family, with and overwhelming show of support by volunteers, continued the search in the area.
Richardson’s cause of death was not immediately determined.

Search and rescue crews from Blaine County, Custer County, Bonneville County, Idaho Mountain Rescue, Sun Valley Fire Department and Gelena Back Country and two helicopters from the Idaho National Guard searched for Richardson for more than a week in September.
