Body of country singer recovered near frigid Oklahoma lake

The body of country singer Craig Strickland has been found in Oklahoma, more than a week after he was reported missing.

Strickland was the lead singer of Arkansas-based country-rock band Backroad Anthem, which said Monday that it appeared Strickland was able to drag himself out of the water before dying.

OHP Marine Enforcement troopers and other searchers returned to the command station at Bear Creek Cove after recovering missing hunter, Craig Strickland. The body of hunting body Chase Morland was found last Monday.

Strickland was part of the country band Backroad Anthem, which formed in 2012.

The severe weather in Oklahoma, which included heavy rains and flooding, is blamed for five deaths and almost 100 injuries. “Thank you to every single person who prayed for him and our family during this time”.

Then, burial service points of interest were made open for Strickland’s companion, Pursue Morland, who additionally disastrously lost his life on the duck-chasing trip. Morland’s body was recovered from the lake a day later.

Strickland’s wife Helen, a former Miss USA contestant, posted to her social media accounts that her husband died of hypothermia after leaving the lake, and experienced no pain.
