Body of missing man from whale watching tragedy near Tofino recovered

The coroner says surfers found a body on the beach of Vargas Island on Wednesday evening.
Five British citizens died after the boat went down, and 21 people were plucked from the water by locals who responded to a flare and radio calls.
The body of an Australian man feared drowned in the tragic sinking of a whale-watching boat in Canada may have been found.
A sixth person, Raveshan Pillay, was still missing and his filed turned over to the RCMP.

The coroner is en route to the scene and said it’s too early to confirm whether the remains are linked to the capsizing. Pillay was among three dozen tourists on the Leviathan II when the vessel capsized last month near Vargas Island. The five people who were confirmed dead on the night of incident were all from the United Kingdom and ranged in age from 18 to 76.
