Bohn’s Back: PGA golfer returns to game after heart attack

After a thrilling Masters, we now turn our attention to the RBC Heritage in SC.

Slotted just behind the Masters, the RBC Heritage might be the most underrated event on the PGA Tour.

Kevin Kisner: The Aiken native came from three strokes back in last year’s final round with a 64 before losing on the second hole of a sudden death playoff to Jim Furyk.

Our Pat Mayo shares his Daily Fantasy Golf picks for DraftKings, and non-Fantasy players should also check out his RBC Heritage betting guide. Tweet at me and let me know! He is a former champion of this tournament and also coming off a 10-place finish at The Masters. These are my first thoughts on the picks after my initial research, and if my thoughts change at all through the week I will be emailing out updates (sign up below). A course known for its history, the Harbour Town Golf Links is a personal favorite among a lot of the players on tour.

“[The doctors] told me that I was extremely lucky, that had I gone down on the golf course, like had I passed out, they didn’t believe that I had enough time for anyone to get to me and relieve the blockage, and I probably wouldn’t have made it”, Bohn told PGATour.com. It was a $3.5 million project that has the course looking great, but could influence the outcome of this year’s Heritage. Someone like Jason Dufner, even though he is not a great putter, he is really good at all those other aspects.

Paul Casey! He was on fire last week at Augusta, very consistent and remained in contention the entire tournament, from round 1 all the way through to the back 9 on Sunday, closing with a round of 67.

“I was excited to come here and very happy to get off to a nice start”. Jason Day and Zach Johnson are two of the biggest names in the tournament, and they’ll be joined by Bryson DeChambeau as he makes his professional debut.

Both corporations have sponsored the RBC Heritage Presented By Boeing for the past five years. This is only his 13th PGA start since start of 2015 season.

I prefer the Scot to Ben Martin, a local Clemson graduate who was third here two years ago and plays well on most Dye layouts. I hope so. I’ve had six or seven months to prepare to be professional. He finished 24th last week at the Master and made the round of 16 at the Dell Match Play.

Snedeker isn’t as accurate as some would think off the tee but his short-game more than makes up for it, a little like course specialist Luke Donald, and his ability to close the door when he gets a chance means I’m happy to take 20s.
