Bolt, 29, has amassed a £47million fortune in advertising and sponsorship deals over the course of his career so far which is expected to hit £55million in the next year.

The champion has revealed he plans to enjoy a night out on the town after the sporting extravaganza where he will teach the red headed party goer some of his best dance moves. “But only after Rio!”

RIO DE JANEIRO-Usain Bolt rarely complains about going too fast.

In the most widely cited case of schedule shifting, the opening round of the women’s 200 was moved from Monday evening to the day session at the request of one of America’s best-known athletes, Allyson Felix, who wanted to try for gold medals both the 200 and the 400.

“I’m ready”, said Mitchell-Blake, who is a college student in the U.S. and was until recently an unknown in Britain.

“I knew the first round was going to be rough”. He won gold at 200 meters in 19.30 seconds. “It’s a good start and I’m just really happy”. “But I’m just happy that I won and that’s the key thing”.

Prior to Bolts showdown, Van Niekerk had stolen the headlines, breaking Michael Johnsons 17-year World Record in the 400m with a time of 43.03secs – all the more impressive given the South African was racing from lane eight.

If history is any guide, Bolt should run the 200-meter race in roughly 19.62 seconds, nearly a half-second faster than Gatlin’s bronze-winning mark at the 2004 Athens Games, the last time Gatlin competed in this event at the Olympics.

“I personally think he’s a great athlete”, Bolt said.

Sprinters who will challenge him include American Justin Gatlin and Canadian Andre De Grasse, who finished 2-3 to Bolt in the 100, along with LaShawn Merritt of the U.S.

Defending Olympic champion Usain Bolt of Jamaica sprints to victory in his 200-meter heat. The swimmer climbed out of an Olympic pool for the last time with a haul of 23 golds among 28 medals. “I have to run fast, and so I’m looking forward to that”.

Bolt accused Gatlin of disrespect in the run-up to the Games after the American questioned his decision to pull out of the Jamaican trials with a hamstring strain.

“At the end of the day, you hear everything, but you have to tune that kind of stuff out”, added the 2004 Athens gold medallist after clocking 9.89 seconds to trail Bolt eight hundredths of second.

Apart from sprint, Bolt also has interest in various sports.
