Bomani Jones wears ‘Caucasians’ shirt mocking Cleveland Indians logo
The ESPN personality appeared on Mike & Mike on Thursday morning and donned an interesting shirt that read “Caucasians” in the Indians’ script. It also featured a white version of the Chief Wahoo (via Deadspin).

Upon request for comment, ESPN sent The Huffington Post the following statement: “As the show progressed, we felt Bomani made his point and had openly discussed why he was wearing the shirt, and we wanted to keep the focus to the topics of the day”.
As you can imagine with a shirt like this there were some negative responses to wardrobe choice with people wanting to make a big deal out of this and come down hard on Jones.
The shirt features the Cleveland Indians Chief Wahoo logo, but instead of saying “Indians”, it says “Caucasians”. I think it’s amusing.
“This [shirt] is the same thing that goes on with the logo for the Cleveland Indians, right?” As he says in the interview, “It’s just like the Cleveland Indians shirt – exactly like the Cleveland Indians shirt with one small change”. Last week, Cleveland owner Paul Dolan said that Chief Wahoo would now be downgraded to secondary status.
“To have a problem with the the logo of this (pointing to his shirt) would be to have a problem with the Indians”.
“We have gone to the Block C as our primary mark”, Dolan told Cleveland.com.
And speaking of crying, so many tears were spilled on social media because some people found Jones’ shirt offensive (ahem.bet you they weren’t Native Americans).

Jones explained why he wore the shirt to Mike & Mike’s Molly Qerim.
