Bomb blast in Pakistan park kills 10, wounds 30

A deadly blast hit the Lahore city of Pakistan earlier this evening leaving at least 53 dead and over 100 others wounded, the officials have said.

Samaa News said the explosion took place inside the parking stand located near the main gate of the park.

“At least 38 people were killed and more than 100 are injured”, Mustansar Feroz, superintendent of police for the area told Reuters.

“We took the injured to hospitals on rickshaws and taxis”.

The dead bodies of the victims as well as the injured individuals were shifted to the nearby hospitals.

The security forces and rescue teams along with bomb disposal squad were dispatched to the site immediately after the explosion.

DIG Operations Haider Ashraf said evidence suggest the blast was suicide attack but further investigation would determine the exact nature of the blast.
