Bomb suspect Ahmad Rahami’s ex-girlfriend has asked a court to give her full custody of their child and issue a restraining order against him.

Mohammad Rahami: He stabbed my son, he hit my wife, and I put him to jail.

One portion expressed concern at the prospect of being caught before being able to carry out a suicide attack and the desire to be a martyr, the complaint said.

It added that another part included a reference, on a page that is largely unintelligible, to “pipe bombs” and a “pressure cooker bomb”, and declared: “In the streets they plan to run a mile”.

It says the writer lauded Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S. -born cleric killed in a 2011 drone strike, and Nidal Hasan, the former U.S. Army major who went on a 2009 rampage at the Fort Hood military installation.

Investigators believe more people were involved in the NY and New Jersey bombing plots, two United States officials told Reuters news agency.

The weekend attack, along with a stabbing spree in Minnesota carried out by a Somali-American whom police said made “references to Allah” and a pipe bomb explosion along the route of a Marine Corps race in New Jersey have raised security fears less than two months before the USA presidential election.

Meanwhile, the suspect named Ahmad Khan Rahami-in the New York, New Jersey bomb plot was charged with five counts of attempted murder, the prosecutor’s office said. Rahami remained hospitalized Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, after a shootout the day before with police in New Jersey.

The Rahami family, who have lived here since 2002, was one of only a handful in that immediate zone known to be Muslim.

Obama, who is in the city for the high-level segment of the UN General Assembly, praised the “tough” and “resilient” response of the people of NY and New Jersey to the weekend’s bombing plots.

“They are going to be fine, they sustained some modest injuries but ones that they’ll rapidly recover from”, Obama said. No one was hurt.

Investigators say they also found a video that shows Rahami setting off what appears to be a pipe bomb in his backyard in Elizabeth, New Jersey earlier this month. The FBI’s ability to assess potential terrorists came under intense scrutiny after Florida native Omar Mateen opened fire inside Orlando’s Pulse nightclub in June, killing 49 people and injuring scores more.

Following Rahami’s arrest, officials said they had no indication there were more bombs or suspects to find, though they are still investigating.

But Manhattan prosecutor Preet Bhahara is not rushing to charge him on terrorist activity.

Authorities say the men took the suitcase.

A judge has granted temporary sole custody to the mother of a child whose father has been charged with planting bombs in NY and New Jersey.

An eBay account linked to Rahami bought a precursor chemical used in explosives, circuit boards and ball bearings that matched the explosives and remnants collected at the crime scenes, the documents said. “The older Tsarnaev brother who carried out the Boston marathon bombing also investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation”.
