Butler County’s bomb squad is responding to the scene, police said.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the stadium PA announcer made a statement over the loudspeaker at approximately 6:10 p.m. ordering the crowd to clear the stands.
A football game between two Cincinnati-area high schools was cancelled abruptly on Friday night after a bomb threat was called into the Mason Police Department.
Burson said since schools and government bodies were involved in the threats, charges for whoever is responsible could escalate to terrorist threats.
The schools intend to reschedule the game, although a date has not been announced. The stadium and arena parking lot, which was the site of the tailgate, were cleared after the threat and the property evacuated while police worked to check for possible explosives, according to the district’s statement.
It hasn’t been said when the game, which was supposed to kickoff at 7 p.m., will be rescheduled.
“We take every threat extremely seriously and greatly appreciate the quick actions of our families, coaches, students and spectators who responded very well in a hard situation”, Mason City Schools Superintendent Dr. Gail Kist-Kline said in the statement. Those at the stadium tweeted that law enforcement emptied the stadium within minutes.
Authorities told FOX19 NOW the stadium and the school were evacuated for safety purposes.

Mason head coach Brian Castner said his team was confused, but evacuated quickly with the rest of their classmates.
