Bomb threats received at nine northern New Jersey schools
Ryan said police are investigating whether there is a connection to a threat received by Arlington Catholic High School last week.

Schools outside Philadelphia and Baltimore also receiving threatening calls today, reports say.
Clifton police said that the threat came in by voicemail in the early morning hours and involved a bomb placed inside schools and a secondary attack of a mass shooting. As a safety precaution, all students and staff are being evacuated by bus to an off-site location. School and police officials have confirmed the bomb threats.
This is the 5th time a bomb threat has been made involving a local school.
“The FBI is working with our state and local partners in identifying the source of the threats”, said Kristen Setera, an FBI spokeswoman.
“This threat appears to be part of a widespread issue that affected multiple school districts across the state over the past two weeks”, Arlington High School Superintendent Kathleen Bodie said in a statement.
■ Sacred Heart Elementary School in Kingston was temporarily evacuated as police investigated a threat.
James FitzGerald Elementary School in Waltham was also evacuated after a call came in at around 9:45 a.m. from a person claiming they were going to detonate a bomb, Sergeant Joe Guigno said.
A Passaic County Sheriff’s officer is parked outside of Clifton High School on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016. Local and state police, and the FBI are investigating why there was a security scare at so many schools across New England.
“We take all these threats very seriously”, Drury said. Students were not at Woodbridge High in Greenwood because of a scheduled teacher training; teachers were briefly evacuated while the school was searched, according to Delaware State Police.
Again, the threats made against schools across six states on Tuesday have not been officially connected to one another. Metzler said that the building was declared safe and that classes had already resumed by early Tuesday afternoon. But, she added, police had stepped up their presence at each of the district’s 13 schools. Each district handled the threats differently, but all received thorough searches by bomb squads.

None of the threats was credible, including the two in Butte on Tuesday morning.
