Bon Iver Debuted His Powerful New Song ‘8 (circle)’ On ‘Fallon’

Bon Iver will return to late night television this week, appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon – on Wednesday night (Sept. 14) at 10:30pm (CST) on whatever audio/visual device you prefer to view NBC these days. The performance marked the first public offering of 22, A Million since Vernon ran through almost the whole album at his own Eaux Claires Music Festival. The Staves, Gordi and Anaïs Mitchell were among the artists contributing on stage at 30 Rock last night.

A handful of journalists listened to “22, A Million” at a press conference hosted by Vernon in Eau Claire earlier this month, including Laura Schulte for the Wausau Daily Herald, who reported from the scene for the USA TODAY NETWORK.

Fallon, conjuring his trademark Saturday Night Live tick, broke his composed host character ahead of the performance, gushing, “This guy’s always doing something fantastic, we just love this guy”.

22, A Million is the much-anticipated third record from the indie folk group.
