Book deal boosts net worth of GOP 2016 candidate Ted Cruz
During a Fox News Channel interview last month, Cruz described the brash billionaire as “a friend”, applauding his record of “taking on the Washington cartel”. Ted Cruz estimates the Republican presidential candidate is worth between $2 million and $4.5 million, aided by an advance of roughly $319,000 for his best-selling memoir.

The conservative establishment must be strong among our readership, because just today we’ve learned that Tea Partier, Republican presidential hopeful, and Planned Parenthood nemesis Ted Cruz is all about the bacon/gun combo, too.
Cruz is seen wrapping bacon around the barrel of a machine gun prior to firing away at a shooting range. When he’s done with target practice, the senator removes the foil, takes a bite with a fork, and laughs.
Do not cook bacon on the barrel of a machine gun, says http://t.co/6AjaUvmP7l.
Most Americans, and most Texans, cook bacon in a frying pan, presumably to minimize the risk of a stray bullet hitting somebody else in the household. It seems like a relevant detail – if Cruz doesn’t know what a machine gun is, this video may prove to be more embarrassing than intended. More knowledgeable sources can (and should) check me on this, but I was under the impression that machine guns are fully automatic, firing bullets quickly.
Cruz is no stranger to viral videos.

Real estate mogul and reality TV star Donald Trump’s commanding lead in the Republican field has left many candidates resorting to increasingly outlandish stunts for attention.
