Booker says 2014-15 Wildcats “most talented team in college basketball history”

Booker’s comments came after helping with John Calipari’s Shooting Camp on Saturday.

“I’m glad it happened how it did”.

“We get to be teammates again and he’s just proven to everybody all you have to do is watch basketball, honestly”. The proof is in the pudding. “But right here, you see Tyler play on the biggest stage in college basketball, and performing”. He has a bright future ahead of him.

“They look like they’re going to be really special”, he said. Numerous players on the select squad are considered prospects for future Olympics, a goal of Booker’s. A season-ending injury to fellow guard Eric Bledsoe in December pushed Booker into a larger role. “Because I don’t think it’ll ever be like that again where a 19-year-old has the ball in his hands the whole game”. “But like I said, it was good for me”. Hopefully down the line, I’ll still have the same attention paid to me.

So does nearly everyone expect maybe a guy like Dan Dakich after seeing Ulis average 14.5 points, 6.3 assists and 2.8 steals per game during the NBA Summer League.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine (8), center Karl-Anthony Towns (32) and guard Andrew Wiggins (22) against the Phoenix Suns at Talking Stick Resort Arena. “Once our National Basketball Association careers pan out you can say “there were so many pros on that team”. “From the end of previous year even until now, you saw in summer league that his ball handling has improved, he’s running pick and rolls and he’s finding guys”.

“Obviously it’s the biggest steal in the draft and that’s not just my opinion”, Booker said.

Booker was able to bring his skill and passion to the 2016 NBA Summer League games in Las Vegas.

“Every NBA team wants to find that steal overseas that nobody knows about”, he said. “They don’t want to miss out on one of those”.

Some of these moves unfortunately bumped former playoff contenders into the lottery conversation (we’re looking at you, Miami Heat), but for other teams, the right moves were made to put them in place to contend for a playoff spot. But Booker took advantage of his opportunity after the two starting guards went down and averaged more than 30 minutes per game the rest of the year.

“This year I was getting numbers some games and we were still losing”, Booker said. They play three minutes a game overseas. “So I know how his career is planned out”.

Best friend, Tyler Ulis, joins Booker in Phoenix.

Along with Willie Cauley-Stein and Julius Randle, Booker was one of three Wildcats on the U.S. Select Team.

Klay Thompson said that based on the growth he saw during Booker’s rookie season, Booker will be “one of the best two guards in the league someday”.

“Last year due to injury, I was thrown into the fire so I got the chance to experience a lot things that a lot of rookies don’t”, Booker said. Back with the team for a third time, Barbosa said he is thrilled to join Booker and thinks he can do more this upcoming season.
