Booker speaks highly of Kaine as vice presidential pick
“As a bullish Larry Sabato, who runs the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics, wrote in the Washington Post, “[With] Kaine on the ticket, Virginia can probably retire its swing state jersey for this year”.

“Let’s talk about trust”, Kaine said in his Wednesday night speech at the Democratic convention.
The New Jersey senator was on the short list of running mates for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, but the pick eventually went to Kaine, the junior senator from Virginia.
But while Pence spent part of Wednesday trying, without much success, to rein in his running mate’s call for Russian Federation to hack Hillary Clinton’s email, Kaine spent it quietly turning the knife on Trump.
When Hillary Clinton named Tim Kaine as her running mate, the questions came immediately: Was he too mild, too bland, too moderate – in short, too nice to wage a ferocious campaign against the likes of Donald Trump?
Kaine said if he’s good at his work, it’s because he “started at the local level listening to people, learning about their lives and trying to get results”.
He’s offering a tough critique of businessman Donald Trump, saying, “I’m a New Yorker and I know a con when I see one”.
He said he took off a year from law school to travel to Honduras and help disadvantaged populations there, much like Clinton stayed at Yale Law an extra year to learn how to help children in the United States more. In addition to stronger gun legislation, Kaine spoke about the need for a stronger emphasis on education.
Earlier, Democrat and former NY mayor, Michael Bloomberg, attacked Trump, saying, “I’m a New Yorker”.
“And with Hillary, it is not just words, it’s accomplishments”.
“Last week in Cleveland, we heard a lot about trust”, Kaine said. “He doesn’t know what to do”, said Trump. “‘There is nothing suspicious in my taxes, believe me'”.

“.So a general gets on, sent obviously by Obama, and he said, ‘Mr”. I mean, Donald Trump’s whole career says you had better not.
