Earlier Tuesday myths apply over the internet that in fact Williams had remaining the group, but Stoops announced have not been how it is.
Williams has gained 343 yards on 47 rushes and scored on a 75-yard jaunt on his first carry of the year.
Instead, simply reiterated, Boom is dealing with a personal matter and may not play Saturday against Eastern Kentucky. The Cats and the Colonels kick at 7:30 p.m. on the alternated channel on the SEC Network. “It has nothing to do with him quitting the team or anything like that – nothing”.
Stoops will address the media again after Thursday’s practice, but he a UK spokesman did confirm that Williams was back on the practice field.
The Boom Williams issue has taken the forefront of Kentucky Football news today, but there were also a few injuries to talk about as well.
Stoops declined to elaborate on why Williams was not on the field for the fourth quarter against Missouri. “Until then, we’ll support him any way we can, and the other guys will step up and compete”.
Am I the only one that thinks this is bad timing for this program to be dealing with a situation like this?

“We’re going to keep that between Boom and I”, Stoops said Tuesday. “I don’t think it will be a distraction”.
