Boomer Phelps’ Game Face Is Even Better Than His Dad’s

Michael Phelps has taken his tally of medals in Olympics to 25 with 21 gold medals. It came on a night that American teammate Katie Ledecky picked up her second gold of the Rio Olympics on the way to what could be a historic run of her own in the pool.

The women’s 800 free relay will be last on the schedule, with the Americans the heavy favorites to win but many teams in contention for a medal.

To be fair, the comparison is meant as a compliment: Phelps is widely considered the greatest swimmer of all time.

The Phelps gold rush is unlikely to be finished with the 100m butterfly and more relay glory still on the cards. “I’ve been able to put my body through things like this over the years”. “Just being able to see the number one next to my name again, one more time in the 200 fly, I couldn’t have scripted it any better”.

The defeat was a big blow to Phelps who considers the 200m butterfly his signature event.

After the first win of the night, Phelps stopped by to say hello to his family, including three-month-old Boomer and fiancee Nicole. Lewis closed out with a Super Bowl victory.

Reflecting on his glorious triumph, Phelps said he had accomplished his mission of exacting revenge in Rio and win it for the one last time, Stuff.co.nz reported.

She showed tremendous form after the race.

He has one more race Tuesday night, anchoring the US team in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay.

With Ledecky and Smith assured on being on the team for the final, that left two available spots.

Neethling said he wouldn’t be surprised if Rio was the last time Le Clos swam the 200m butterfly at a big global meet, suggesting the 24-year-old was more suited to the 100m and 200m freestyle and the 100m butterfly. Cierra Runge was the slowest of the group, 1:57.75. Larkin was the favorite coming into this race, but was off form a little bit in the 100 back missing the medals. If that’s including me, then that’s what I want. I couldn’t have scripted it better. Simone Manuel of the United States took the second spot, followed by Sarah Sjostrom of Sweden and defending Olympic champion Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands.
