Bosch has 23, leads Heat over undermanned Wizards 97-75
Heat’s center Hassan Whiteside had a bad game offensively, but he was a strong defensive force once again, and it earned him some words of praise by the opponent, Marcin Gortat.

This time, Miami Heat’s Hassan Whiteside is the one rejecting Wizards: For much of this season, Hassan Whiteside has been the one doing all the rejecting, block by block, now 132 in all. He is the league’s leading shot blocker, well ahead of every other shot blocker and his dominance under the rim is unmatched.
Center Pau Gasol added 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Bulls (20-12) with forward Nikola Mirotic scoring 17 points.
Considering that Gortat has been in the league for almost a decade, these words of praise definitely mean something. There has been only one other quarter in the National Basketball Association this season in which a team has scored seven or fewer points.
A big lead only got larger when Miami opened things up to a 27-point advantage early into the fourth quarter.
When play resumed to start the third quarter, Washington quickly connected on their first two shots, but then missed nine of their next 11 attempts. Just six of 15 teams in the West are better than.500.
The Wizards have shown plenty of improvement lately, but the Heat looked to be in mid-season form in their last win and I’m expecting them to be leaving the nation’s capital with a solid win tonight.
The two teams had virtually an identical opening quarter in regards to statistics, but that changed drastically once the second period began.
John Wall leads the Wizards against Miami.
Miami F Chris Bosh had 23 points against Washington and is averaging 23.5 points in the last eight contests. They scored six in the fourth quarter at Charlotte on November 25.
The Wizards were guilty of settling for jumpers and when they did attack the basket they often encountered Whiteside.
The Heat now return home for a Monday night matchup against the Indiana Pacers, with tipoff set for just after 7:30 p.m. ET.
