Boston Celtics’ Jae Crowder hits unbelievable full court shot against Indiana Pacers

Hardly the work of a league MVP candidate, which he considers himself to be.

The official play-by-play will say that Boston Celtics wing Jae Crowder turned the ball over on an inbounds pass with 1.1 seconds remaining in the second quarter of Wednesday’s road game against the Indiana Pacers. George had 26 points on 8-18 shooting, including five three pointers to lead Indiana, coming through with George Hill on the defensive end on the game’s final possession with the Celtics having a chance to win or force overtime.

Things will be a lot harder with Smart sidelined but Brad Stevens needs to figure out how to get the offense back on track and a potentially deadly shooter in R.J Hunter could eventually become a difference maker if Smart misses any more time.

Of hitting his first shot, Hunter said, “Hey, I thought it was a 3”. “I felt like my first appearance was a while ago though, so I felt pretty comfortable today”. You just have to find your way. Jordan Hill also recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

After opening the season with at least 25 points in each of his first two games, Isaiah Thomas was held to 15 against San Antonio on Sunday.

Monta Ellis made two free throws with 13.7 seconds left to snap a 98-all tie after he was fouled by Avery Bradley. Lee and Turner both had their best games of the season. George said. “We’ve got that with this unit”. From there, the game was a tight one, exchanging baskets up in until the final shot. Bradley went for it all with a step-back three, but his shot came up short and so did the Celtics. After scoring 6 points combined in the first half, Crowder, Sullinger and Johnson played better and Thomas and Bradley led the way. Bradley wound up flinging a 3-pointer with George and Hill rushing at him, Hill apparently getting a finger on the shot.

What I mean is simply, did you think it was the right move or the wrong one?

The Pacers’ defense could improve further if Robinson becomes a regular in the rotation. Paul George helped to lead an 11-2 run to put the Pacers in a good position. Miles is dealing with a sprained ankle that Vogel said occurred in the season opener against the Toronto Raptors.

Said Robinson: “Next man up. I just wanted to go out there and provide a spark”.

George expects more than a spark in seasons ahead, if not sooner.
