A 29-year-old woman died, while a male passenger on the scooter sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
Almost 4 million Nissan cars are being recalled due to major safety problems where passenger air bags or seat belts could fail in a crash, leading to serious injuries or fatalities.
Duck boats are amphibious sightseeing vehicles that can ride on water or road.
Warmuth, who grew up in OH and moved to Boston five years ago, was described by her parents as “an incredible person”.
State leaders dispute the company’s claim, saying they have given Duck Boat Tours the driver’s complete record for the past 10 years. Boston Police Commissioner William Evans says that following the accident it was apparent that the young woman had sustained serious injuries to her body.
No further details are now available.
Boston Duck Tours has released a statement regarding the driving record of an operator involved in a fatal crash over the weekend.
“How many more people have to die in duck boat accidents before authorities realise they are deadly on land and in the water”, Mongeluzzi said in a statement.
On Saturday, April 30, one of the duck boats used by Boston Duck Tours struck and killed a woman driving a scooter in downtown Boston.

Mongeluzzi represented the families of two Hungarian tourists killed in 2010 when the duck boat they were in was struck by a boat in the Delaware River. The DUKW designation was replaced with the duck boat moniker that is used by various tour companies.
