The fundraiser is being held at the Rainbow Room, a fine-dining restaurant on the 65th floor of a Manhattan skyscraper.
The 42nd president noted he will have to have minimal, if any involvement in the foundation, if Hillary wins in November. Watchdog says USA fueled Afghan corruption Pence to release medical records MORE is elected president.
“For that party, I looked at the list and other than two people, all of them are people who have been annual donors to the foundation and are long-time friends of the president”, Shalala said.
Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential candidate, was scheduled to be in Nevada today but cleared her schedule until Thursday after her campaign announced on Sunday that she was recovering from pneumonia.
Since its founding in 1997, the foundation has steered hundreds of millions of dollars to health and disaster relief programs, among other humanitarian efforts.
“But I just talked to her, she’s feeling great, and I think she’ll be back out there tomorrow.so.it’s a insane time we live in when people think there’s something unusual about getting the flu”.
Hillary Clinton was originally scheduled to visit the College of Southern Nevada campus in North Las Vegas on Wednesday. There’s no question about it.
“You know, for a year we were told, ‘This is the biggest problem since the end of World War II!'” the former president said Wednesday.
“The most important thing is, this is a magnificent foundation that has reinvented philanthropy”.
He’s also linked the foundation to Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state. “She had a good night’s sleep she’s doing fine”, he said. Lindsey is the chairman of the Clinton Foundation and all three have been top aides to the Clintons in public office.
The almost eight-hour gap between when Mrs Clinton was first reported to have stumbled and when her campaign disclosed her pneumonia has revived questions about her penchant for secrecy.
Clinton has defended her family’s philanthropic organizations against accusations by Donald Trump, her Republican rival, and others that wealthy donors, including foreigners and corporate leaders, might expect favorable treatment from the USA government.
