WalletHub, a personal finance social network and ranker of all things, ranked Boston as the fourth worst city in America for veterans. Ones related to the economy are percentage of military skill-related jobs; vet unemployment rate; vet job and income growth; housing affordability, and veterans’ incomes adjusted for cost of living.
Laredo ranks high in economic wellness, and low in the other three categories. “It’s a traditional classroom environment and… the biggest mistake I think our instructors make is just putting them all in one box and saying, ‘Well if you’re a veteran, you must do this'”.
The top three best-ranked cities for veterans this year are Irvine, California, Scottsdale, Arizona, and Raleigh, North Carolina. It’s based on factors like job opportunities, number of homeless veterans, VA hospitals, education opportunities for veterans, and more.
