However, a police report gave a different account of Thursday’s incident.

A man has come forward saying Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor assaulted him during a fight in Boston that was recorded on cellphone video and posted online, police said. “Something I’m embarrassed about”.

Police say the alleged victim reported the fight began after some of his female friends refused the advances of two men, including one believed to be Okafor. I’m not happy about it at all.

“It was definitely dumb on my part”, Okafor said Friday of the incident. The man said Okafor and another man approached his group and asked some of the women for their phone numbers. [I am] still dealing with the league and the team.

“Jahlil (Okafor) knows if he had to (tell him about an altercation) again he would walk”, he said. Okafor then punched the same man.

An NBA spokesperson said the league was also looking into the matter, according to ESPN.

“We ask them to make responsible decisions. But we are still going to through the process of what we are going to do”.

Okafor, 19, addressed the incident from Houston, where he and the 76ers were scheduled to face the Rockets Friday.

“This is not something that we dismiss”, Brown said.
