After a video was released Thursday showing Philadelphia 76er’s star Jahlil Okafor grappling with an unknown individual, the Boston Police Department will now further investigate the incident.

According to the victim, the incident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. on Thursday outside the Storyville Nightclub at 90 Exeter Street in Boston.
The victim also told police the women declined to give their phone numbers which resulted in a verbal dispute between him and one of the suspects. The man said he needed stitches to close a cut above his eye, according to police.
A Boston Police spokesperson told WBZ-TV Friday they are aware of the video, but no one was at the scene when officers arrived, so no report was filed.
“It was definitely dumb on my part, something I’m embarrassed about”, Okafor told reporters, indicating he was being hassled by a man outside the club. “But we are still going through the process of what we are going to do”.
“The embarrassment of what I did because that’s not who I am”, Okafor added. Not only has Philly failed to win a game, they’re the worst offensive team in the league. “You can’t put a [padlock] on life”, Brown said, according to the Inquirer.
Apparently, the Boston steet fight involving Jahlil Okafor and some hecklers wasn’t the first time that Okafor has gotten into it with fans. “People are just coming after me, heckling, making fun of me for losing”. It’s something that I have known I’m in the spotlight.
Per ESPN.com, Okafor expressed regret over the incident. This news comes two days after the Okafor was involved in an altercation outside of a Boston nightclub following the Sixers’ 84-80 loss to the Celtics, which he discussed Friday for the first time.
The 76ers face the Rockets in Houston on Friday night.
Brown said the team will handle the situation internally and he expects input from the league.
