LGBT groups throughout DE have posted on social media and expressed grief over the tragic attack.
Kentucky Senator Reginald Thomas vowed to introduce new gun legislation next session, and for America to not let hate defeat us.

“Frances and I join with all Pennsylvanians in mourning the senseless deaths of at least 50 people in Orlando”, Wolf said in a statement.
“We have to keep moving forward”, he said. “So we are proud and we’re going to show you”, said Nieckar, the festival co-chair.
Later, Chipper Dean, the chorus’ president, dedicated Sunday’s performance to the shooting victims.
However, security for the event, and all of the others are now being reviewed.
Peggy Johnson opened the vigil with a song and was followed by local religious leaders, legislators and gay community advocates speaking about peace, healing and love.
Sunday night during the Tony awards, Lin-Manuel Miranda revealed a sonnet paying tribute to the victims. The groups include gay rights organizations, the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta and the Anti-Defamation League.
At the vigil, several people in the LGBT community spoke, urging everyone to stand strong, instead of going into hiding out of fear.
Now in 2016, a mournful vigil in Cal Anderson Park will be part of marking Pride in Seattle.
“Our hearts are with our brothers and sisters in Orlando”, officials stated in an event announcement on Facebook. The Democratic governor and dozens of other politicians sang “Amazing Grace” together, and Edwards read a Bible passage.
“A hate crime, is a hate crime, is a hate crime, is a hate crime”, Spearman said.
“They weren’t letting people in because they weren’t blood relatives”, Murphy said. A 1969 police raid at Stonewall led to street protests widely credited as the start of large-scale gay rights activism.
Obama, Cuomo and de Blasio are Democrats.
I’m certainly no saint; there’s certain aspects of the gay community that aren’t pretty, including the content barrage of a heteronormative aesthetic which I’ve not been adverse to in the past.
Community members told News 4, they’re more afraid than ever.
“We will be flying the LGBT Pride flag at half-mast this week as a mark of solidarity and remembrance”.
An evening march also is planned in the state capital, Harrisburg. There’s one Monday night at 8:30 at Bar at 316, a prominent gay bar in Charlotte. Bags were searched as people made their way into the Philly Pride Festival at Penn’s Landing.

“I work with kids that are in this crowd tonight and across this state”, Spurzem said, “and they kill themselves”.
