Boulder weather: High of 47 with more high winds

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 miles per hour in the afternoon. Temperatures are starting out in the high 30’s to low 40’s in the valley, and in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s in the mountains.

Today’s National Weather Service forecast: Cloudy, with a 60 percent chance of showers, mainly after 5 p.m. High near 53.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, 40% coverage of showers and thunderstorms.

Wednesday will see showers and thunderstorms in the morning and it will get windy, with gusts up to 36 miles per hour.

Our region will slowly cool-down through week’s end and late Friday, an approaching storm system will bring a chance for some light rain or snow. Winds overnight could gust up to 45 miles per hour tonight, and strengthen even more for Wednesday. West winds around 5 miles per hour. Lows in the lower to mid 50s.

It stays mild with lows in the low to mid 60s.
