He was concerned he would not get enough competition early enough. “I hope if he plays 30 games [this season], he will come back and play here without any doubt”. While there have never been doubts over the player’s ability, Wilshere has played more than 30 total matches during a season just three times since making his senior Arsenal debut in 2008. “It’s important for him that he gets the number of games this season”. I do not try to be right, but if I give him out and he plays, I will be more right. “I think [talks will start] around December”.
“I spoke with the manager (Eddie Howe) during the week and he’s got a plan for me so I was happy to be on the bench”. Personally, I hope he stays here for his whole career.

“We have all been his age wanting to play football but we didn’t have Jack’s talent”, Wenger said. I think we were always aware that with the games we have had that they were hard games.
