With Wenger’s deal ending next summer, questions are being asked about a possible replacement – and reports now suggest that a potential target has emerged for the Gunners.
Wenger said last month that his future at the club will be decided by this season’s results.
The north London club have since signed Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi and Spanish forward Lucas Perez for a combined £52m ($70m).
Arsenal are reported to be lining up Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe as Arsene Wenger’s successor when the Frenchman calls it a day.
He has been plagued by injury during much of his career and made just one start for Arsenal in the Premier League during the 2015-16 campaign, per WhoScored.com.
He is also one of the main reasons Gunners star Jack Wilshere opted to join Bournemouth on loan for the rest of the season.
“My contract runs until the end of the season”.

A move south to Bournemouth provides the England worldwide with the chance of consistent game time where he might finally leave his injury woes behind him.
