Mark McAdam has all the latest news on Jack Wilshere’s season-long loan to Bournemouth.

While reports emerged via Sky Sports on Tuesday evening that Jack Wilshere, who made two Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season would be allowed to leave the club on loan, it was anticipated that the England global would be spending this season overseas.

Wilshere has made 160 appearances for the North London side in his six years at the club so far, scoring 12 goals and assisting a further 24 strikes.

According to transfermarkt.co.uk, Wilshere has missed a staggering 154 competitive games for Arsenal in his seven years as a member of the first team.

“I had a good chat with the manager and feel sure this is the best place for me to play and develop this season”, said Wilshere in a statement on Twitter. Thanks for all your support.’ .

‘I think Jack is Arsenal’s best left-footed midfielder since Liam Brady, but injury has robbed him of much of his career.

Wilshere met Bournemouth officials including Howe on Tuesday, and also held a similar meeting with Palace and manager Alan Pardew.

Eddie Howe’s side agreed to pay Arsenal’s £2million loan fee and gave the green light to subsidising Wilshere’s £80,000-per week wages in full.

Wilshere’s lack of first team football has also impacted his worldwide career, and he didn’t make the cut for Sam Allardyce’s first squad since taking over from Roy Hodgson after EURO 2016.

It was during a loan move to Bolton in 2010 that Wilshere established himself as a player of exceptional promise and after which he featured regularly for Arsenal and England.

Redknapp also believes the midfielder, once hailed as the next big thing, is now facing a make-or-break nine months.
