Boustany allegations, Kennedy’s email, the hot US Senate race news story
U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Charles Boustany adamantly denied anonymous allegations he was involved with prostitutes and blasted fellow candidate state Treasurer John Kennedy and his campaign for spreading the rumors, calling Kennedy a “political predator with no regard for the truth”.

“These lies are being spread in a very despicable and false smear campaign furthered by operatives working for state Treasurer John Kennedy”, Boustany said in a conference call with reporters.
Thank you for reading and relying on TulsaWorld.com for your news and information. He does not allege the congressman is involved in the slayings.
“John Kennedy doesn’t care about my family or the people of Louisiana”, Boustany said. Kennedy, on Monday, sent out an email announcing his non-involvement in circulating information about his chief republican US Senate rival, Boustany.
“Murder In The Bayou”, about the killings of several prostitutes in Jefferson Davis Parish, includes a chapter claiming Boustany was involved with some of the women.
“Charles’ opponents have resorted to lies about him”, Bridget Boustany reportedly wrote in an email to reporters. But after news media outlets wrote about the prostitution claims, Kennedy’s campaign repeated the allegations in emails that linked the stories.
Boustany said he never spoke directly to the writer of the book – he heard about the questions from Jack Pandol, his communications director – and that the parts of the book involving him were lies.
The Advocate reports that Boustany addressed the issue in a press conference Wednesday. Bridget Boustany, the wife of Charles Boustany is defending him against prostitution allegations raised in a new book, describing “false attacks” that she says are aimed at disrupting his bid for a U.S. Senate seat in Louisiana.
“The Kennedy campaign did not write the book and did not publish the book”, Rainey texted the Advocate.
Boustany is one of 24 contenders on the November 8 ballot in the U.S. Senate race, a seat that is open because Republican David Vitter – who found his bid for governor derailed in part by a prostitution scandal – isn’t running for re-election. Unless one candidate takes a majority, as appears unlikely in a 24-candidate field, the next senator from Louisiana will be determined in a December runoff between the top two primary vote-getters. He also provided a campaign finance report that showed Boustany had reimbursed Guillory $213 for gas mileage in June 2015.
Boustany said Wednesday he had confronted Guillory with the allegations last week, and that Guillory had resigned after admitting he had owned the Boudreaux Inn. “It’s been hard on my family, and it’s been hard on me”. The FBI did not confirm or deny to Brown that such an interview took place or that they had any information connecting Boustany to prostitutes, the book says.

Asked why he didn’t speak with Guillory after Brown contacted his office in May, Boustany said he had dismissed Brown’s questions as inconsequential.
