“He told me he had cancer, liver cancer”. While the rest of the world reacted with shock, his first wife was none the wiser after entering the CBB house last week.

David Bowie was a “visual creative artist” who “curated his death” with his final album Blackstar and a musical, the celebrated United States photographer Annie Leibovitz said yesterday.

“David was always an inspiration to me and a true original” said Jagger.

The actor and Grammy-award winning song writer has been described as a “master of reinvention”, “an inspiration” and “a one of a kind icon”. It features the haunting track Lazarus, which poignantly opens with the lyrics: “Look up here, I’m in Heaven”. It ends with the poignant.

And when Bowie shot the video for “Lazarus”, he was seen lying in a hospital bed with bandages. “In fact, don’t. It would be weird for me if – so don’t even consider it. Just read it and enjoy what I put in there”.

David Bowie was told he had terminal liver cancer 12 months ago and told his friends.

Angie Bowie broke down on Celebrity Big Brother on learning of his death.

SiriusXM is honoring David Bowie’s musical legacy by reviving its Bowie-centric station for a limited run.

Whilst the idea of securitising future royalties, created by U.S. principal financier/banker David Pullman – who actually trademarked the Bowie Bond name – was a brilliant concept, it didn’t really become a mainstream sector in itself as very few artists had either the longevity in their careers or, in many cases, fully owned the rights to their music.
