David Bowie fans in the United Kingdom will be disappointed to learn that the funeral of the legend who was born in Brixton, South London, will be held in the USA where he lived with his family.

There are reports that Elton John may be writing a song to memorialize Bowie, just as he did when Princess Diana died, creating the song “Candle In the Wind”.
Late night hosts Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Fallon both paid tribute to David Bowie a day after the legendary singer’s tragic death.
Bowie’s friend and producer Tony Visconti said the record was “his parting gift” to the world.
A David Bowie memorial concert will take place in New York’s Carnegie Hall in March.
The veteran rocker, who succumbed to cancer on Sunday after an 18-month battle, is set to unseat Adele’s “25” for the top-selling album on Billboard’s hot 200.
The iconic singer’s death comes just days after the release of his 29th album, Blackstar, which coincided with his 69th birthday on January 8.
Sitting in the Diary Room, an emotional Angie said: “I haven’t seen him for so many years”. Its chairman Max Lousada said: “Naturally, we wish to honour his extraordinary life and work at the forthcoming Brit Awards and pay a fitting tribute to one of our greatest icons”. The organisers have now made a decision to go forward with it as a memorial concert that will be titled The Music of David Bowie.
The director of his broadway musical Lazarus has claimed that the singer told him over a year ago that he was suffering from liver cancer. Bowie was posing in a promotional shoot for his final album, Blackstar.
Meanwhile, another close friend of the star has also told how the father-of-two was feeling “optimistic” about a new cancer drug just weeks before his death.
Angie hasn’t had contact with David, or the former couple’s son, Duncan Jones for many years and her decision to remain part of the show has come under criticism.

He said Bowie’s album was inspired by Lubbock’s Norman Odam.
