The Ohio State offense seemed to be a lot closer to the 2014 edition than the 2015 version on Saturday against Bowling Green (0-1) as the Buckeyes rolled up a school-record 776 yards en route to a 77-10 victory.

Tulsa had a big opening game of their own, dominating San Jose State, 45-10, so they’ll be heading into the Ohio State game with some confidence. First-year Bowling Green coach Mike Jinks called the outcome a “butt-whooping” and said it would be hard to find positives.

After the Buckeyes’ defense forced Bowling Green to punt on each of its next two possessions, Barrett led touchdown drives of 91 and 73 yards, respectively. Conversely, Ohio State will be lining up several new starters at wide receiver, tight end, and running back, so the Bowling Green defensive coaching staff will need to be prepared in a comparable manner.
