Boxing Champ Tyson Fury Reported for ‘Hate Crime’ to Police
The BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony is facing a backlash over the inclusion of Tyson Fury in this year’s 12-strong shortlist of nominees.

Fury, who stunned Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA, IBF and WBO belts earlier this month, is not a very good role model and also risks being shunned by major sponsors, according to Maloney, 62.
Mr Fury denied his comments were offensive towards women, and the boxer’s Bolton-based agent, Asif Vali, said his comments had been taken out of context.
Mancunian Fury, 27, claims he has little interest in the award but insists he would be the only worthy victor.
But the result has left a sour taste in the mouths of the British public, who are calling for his name to be taken off the list for BBC Sports Personality of the Year (SPOTY) 2015. Everybody in the country knows that.
“With the exception of Bowe, I’ve gotten along well, and shown plenty of love and respect, to all of my opponents, as well as the champions before me”.
Meanwhile, the British police have also initiated inquiry against Fury over his recent sexist remarks. I didn’t really go to school. Or was it about the cooking and cleaning? “I stand up for my beliefs“. My wife’s job is cooking and cleaning and looking after these kids.
And Haye believes Fury’s reluctance to step into the ring stems from a fear of being beaten.
When Tyson Fury dreamt of becoming the Heavyweight Champion, he probably didn’t expect a national row about whether sport should actually recognise his achievements at all.
As I said, it would be interesting to listen to what is going on behind the scenes at the moment, but it seems that the last place we will learn what is going on is from the BBC itself.
He added: “Make no mistake, I am not insulted by this as a gay person, I’m not insulted by this as a feminist, I’m insulted by this as an athlete, because I think athletes have a larger responsibility”. He has to be a bit more calculated in what he says.
He said: “50,000 wánkers mate, that’s what I’ve got to say about them”. Whoever is the best stand-up fighter in the world, I want to fight him because I believe I’m that man. I don’t care if he wants to kick, whatever he wants to do. But then he has been roundly criticised for them, and his fanbase – swollen by his unexpected world heavyweight boxing title win – should now be ebbing faster than Lake District rivers.
